His career in education started as a public school Math teacher in North Dakota, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Ohio State University, and including serving as the principal developer of the United States Pharmacopeia Fundamentals of Microbiology training program. From new product ideation at Bausch & Lomb to innovative management at Revlon, David has made a massive footprint on quality, innovation, and safety.
As a Subject Matter Expert in microbiology and statistics for The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), David evaluated white papers and proposals for government-funded projects designed to develop effective medical countermeasures to treat radiation, radionuclide, or chemical agent exposure.
Crowned as the “King of Idaho Food Safety” by the Idaho Statesman, Jeff has spent the past 30 years driving operations and corporate quality, productivity, food safety, HACCP, and Health & Safety for global giants like Frito-Lay, the J.R. Simplot Company, PowerBar, AIB International, and The University of Idaho. He has a proud history of developing, training, and implementing quality, food safety, and HACCP systems.
Over the past 12 years, he has spearheaded the introduction of Lean Manufacturing to the food industry in Idaho. Providing leadership for lean transformations in potato processing operations, cheese processors, as well as salad dressing operation, onion processing, and appetizer operations, Jeff is highly-regarded for his work with Human Food manufacturing.
Award-Winning professor, Mark has spent his career instructing students, researching, and writing about the safe production, processing, and handling of foods. Awarded the R.M. Wade award for excellence in undergraduate teaching at Oregon State, Mark has been a Certified Food Scientist with the Institute of Food Technologists, authored more than one hundred papers, and was instrumental in starting Oregon State’s popular Fermentation science program.
An FDA-recognized process authority in validating the safety of food production practices, Mark has been retained often as an expert witness in food product litigation.
A driving force in solving food microbiology problems for over 30 years, Dr Jeff Kornacki has provided strategic assistance to industry-leading companies in the midst of FDA and USDA product recalls. With over 700+ troubleshooting-related plant visits in his career, Jeff proudly serves numerous companies across a broad spectrum of food processing industries. In 2010, Jeff received the IAFP Sanitarian award. He also served as Chairman of IAFP’s Food & Hygiene Professional Development Group from 2011 to 2013.
His work addressing contamination concerns with dairy product manufacturing is well-regarded, holding a patent on ultra-filtered milk cheese production.
